My Approach
I discovered my passion for working with children, adolescents, and their families very early in my educational journey. During my extensive training, I realized quickly that many therapeutic interventions target weaknesses rather than focusing on strengths. Throughout my education, research, and years of practice, a strengths-based approach and collaborative partnerships with families have become the cornerstone of my practice. Therefore, my approach is based on discovering and building upon strengths.
My strength is my family and our friends. I live a very active life in Raleigh with my wonderful husband, two active daughters, and our very sweet, bichon-poodle mix.We truly love outdoor activities, and I find personal balance through meditation, yoga, and physical activity. Quiet time for me includes reading and a eclectic mix of music. I treasure my time with friends and family, and there is generally no lack of excitement!
